Last updated September 2026. FlugVel is a personal project, not a company. This page explains in plain language what this site does with your data.
The email signup form stores your email address and the date you signed up. The support form sends your name, email and message to my inbox and doesn't store them on the site. Nothing else is collected.
Reading the site collects nothing. There's no tracking, no ads and no analytics. If that ever changes, this page will say so, and any analytics would be the cookieless kind that doesn't profile you.
The only cookie is on the private admin dashboard, to keep me logged in. It's a strictly necessary cookie: it doesn't track you and isn't shared. Visitors never get it, which is why there's no cookie banner.
You get one welcome email, then an email when there's a firmware or feature update. Your address is never sold or shared, and every email has an unsubscribe link that deletes it.
Two outside services run this site, and each only sees what it needs:
Neither may use this data for anything except running the site and sending its emails.
A FlugVel device checks in with this site now and then to report its status and look for firmware updates. A check-in includes a device ID, signal strength and firmware version. It never includes what you use the device for: your flights, weather, calendar and notes go straight between the device and the services you set up, not through this site.
Use the unsubscribe link in any update email, or your mail app's own unsubscribe button. Either one deletes your address completely; it isn't kept on a list. If a link doesn't work, reply to any email and I'll remove you.
If anything here changes, this page and the date at the top will be updated.
